You know, it bothers me when anyone and I mean anyone takes offense to people looking at their child. If I am in the store with my son, and Patrick is toe-stepping down the aisle, flapping his hands, and yelling at the top of his voice "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, DAAAADDYYYYY comeherecomherecomeherecomehere, firefighterfirefighterfirefighter!" I hope people look. I silently beg for anyone to ask, "Is there something wrong with your boy?" I look at people surrounding me, trying to make eye contact with them. I smile, and leisurely stroll to my son who just a year and a half ago DID NOT SPEAK! and lovingly ask him what he is looking at, at which point he looks one direction, points another and takes off towards his mother, whom I left up the aisle.

People stare? Let 'em! People whisper? Screw 'em! Is your son menacing someone else? Is he physically hurting another person or animal? Stop him. Is he being autistic? Let him. Good Luck, Happy Holidays & God Bless
