I only work part-time at the moment, two days a week, because I'm also a university student. I started out as a (full-time) volunteer at the school, and ended up being hired to do one-to-one work with three kids who the school felt could particularly benefit from this. I write up notes on each session for each child's class teacher (and meet up with them to discuss what I'm doing and share ideas) and for everyone else working individually with that child. All three of them also get one-to-one music therapy, and two of them have a session of child-centred play as a small group most mornings (just the two of them and the teacher, although one of the kids sometimes chooses to bring a third child along). The third doesn't like such unstructured activities, and has one-to-one sessions of cooking or work on the computer (her favourite activities) with a staff member most mornings. There isn't any overall game-plan - it's all been built around the needs of these individual kids. The school is very small, so there's a lot of flexibility.
