i think it is wonderful the school district is doing this for the children. the teachers and therapists in our school district are wonderful people, but there is nothing set up here that sounds like what you have. i have seen and been told there is nothing that compares to what we are doing with john. my thoughts are often on how to help change things, so other children can be helped more effectively. however on this thought, i know that since we have been doing our program for john, the teachers and therapists have been exploring how to have more intensive one on one, and possible a quiet room in which to "play" with the children, maybe something similiar to what you have mentioned. i would be interested in how much time you are being able to work with each child, and how many are you working with? perhaps a possible game-plan. are you the only one hired for this position? i would be interested in sharing with our school district.
