Hi Samantha,

I am new to this message board with regard contributing to it, but with my wife have been running a Sonrise program for our son for just over two years now and I do not begrudge a single penny we have paid. Before I give our story, I just want to say to Doug, that your responses to Samantha's questions were brilliant(or to use Option speak, which we now use in our household frequently, Awesome!(I,m from Britain so Awesome was not a word that readily sprang from our mouths!)).

Samantha, Both myself and my wife have been on both the startup and max Impact programs and they have been life changing for us, and when I say us, I mean not just for our Autistis son, Aaron, but for ourselves as well.
An example of this is not only has our son made incredible 'giant steps' in the last two years, but Laura and myself, though the same as we were before our 'gift', are totally different with regard our responses to challenges that arise from time to time. A case in point being that I have found myself, unexpectedly out of work for the last two months, previously I would of faced this experience with fear and anxiety, but now have looked for the positives ( more time with my two sons, an opportunity to help my wife and to give me time to work on writing a novel that I never believed was in me) which has allowed me the time to chase our local authorities and to get the backing of our local Member of Parliament (I live in Scotland, so I do not know what the equivalent in America is,a Senator perhaps?) to get funding for our program, In a happy and not a angry way (most of the time!.) To bring it back to where your healthy cynicism begins, Do I Believe my son Aaron, who was diagnosed at two (on his birthday) and was classically autistic, can emerge from Autism then I say emphatically Yes. Will it happen? Well that depends on him, but he is so lovable I almost feel like saying who cares!!!!

All the best, Samantha and a massive thank you to everyone at Option for all that you have taught Laura and myself and even biggier thank you to my wife for her incredible love that has bourne unbelievable determination in ensuring that Aaron's journey continues with a force that is awesome!!

Merry Christmas to everyone

Cary
