Yes, that is my understanding.
That is also my personal experience of a year ago......prior to discovering son-rise through the Autism 99 conference. I had a profound change in my perception of my daughter in October 1998 when I realised that I could learn from her. It came about through much soul-searching and prayer and at the very moment the realisation came, Francesce gave me voluntary eye contact for the first time in her life...a life-changing moment for me and for her.
When I read Jonathan Levy's Opening comments at Autism 99 I didn't read the rest of the paper immediately but went straight to the sonrise web site and felt so grateful to have found the Kaufmans.
I had a phone consultation and was granted a scholarship and so will be attending son-rise startup in September 2000.........a miracle for someone who, just 6 weeks ago, was feeling so alone in her approach, here in Adelaide, South Australia

And how can you meassure that? And how, really, do you describe that to someone who is not into the program?
: It's like psychotherapy I suppose. It's not strictly scientific, but it has helped some parents/families and their special needs children greatly. And for that it would be cheap at twice the price.
