There was a wonderful 1/2 page story in our local paper today on The Son-Rise program/Option. It talked about Raun's recovery and the program. Quotes by Shara Ouston were beautiful! I did not know you lived in England.

New Year's day will mark our one year anniversary in the playroom. What a year it has been! Laughter, joy, fear, worry, peace, frustration, but most of all hope and love. Our family has been transformed into a much more loving and caring team. In addition, Brenen has made leaps in improvements! He continues to amaze me almost daily. Although I have never met anyone at Option (my wife Kimberly went last December) in person, our video feedback, the books and audio tapes have been invaluable. Your organization is to be commended for the life changing work you do.

Not only have you helped my son Brenen, and our family, but through the Son-Rise program, we have passed along the message of acceptance/loving attitude to our volunteers. I ask volunteers on occasion, "Why do you keep coming here twice a week for two hours each time?" The answers are similar. "Because I love doing it." "It has made me a better person." "It is so much fun."

I just wanted to share my appreciation of your passion. (I was going to call it work, but I don't believe that is what it is.) You are changing the world one child/family at a time. Thank you!

Bram Hornstein
