Check your local phone book for pharmacies that compound prescriptions. Most cities have at least one good compounding pharmacy. Then have the doc write the RX for pure nystatin, no fillers. It comes in a powder you can mix with nut butters or soft foods. It's pretty strong so you need a strong flavor to mask it. Nut butters worked well when we had to give this to Curtis but he also took it in a liquid form just plain but wasn't happy about it.
Are you using this to treat Candida overgrowth? If so, you might want to talk to the doc about rotating a med or herbal that treats systemically as well since nystatin only treats the gut and not the candida that get out into the blood. If it's a bad case, and you treat with only nystatin, it can grow back pretty easily. Grapefruit seed extract, aloe vera and cinnamon are supposed to be good although I'm not sure if cinnamon treats systemically. Diflucan and Nizoral treat systemically but need to be given with caution. Gaylen
