: Hi, my name is Samantha Goldman. I work with a 6-year old boy who is participating in the Son-Rise program. In working with him, I have also become very interested in the Son-Rise Program, and I am researching it for my 11th grade English term paper. I know that you are all VERY busy, but for my term paper I would like to interview (via e-mail)parents or teachers of children who are participationg in the Son-Rise Program. I would like to see if the Son-Rise Program, is really the "miracle cure" that it claims to be. I say "miracle," because in the interviews in the back of Barry Kaufman's Son-Rise: The Miracle Continues, and in the Son-Rise Brochure, the parents basically say that immediately after they came to Son-Rise (The Option Institute), they say major changes in their child's behavior and in themselves. My only comment on your note is that I don't believe anyone at option claims this program to be a "miracle cure". I could be wrong, but I don't recall hearing or seeing that anywhere prior to my wife going to the start up program. Perhaps parents that have gone there have said that but I don't think the program itself makes any claims like that. What I can tell you, is that is has been the single most important "treatment" we have done for Brenen (and we have done a lot!). Yes, within days of doing the program we had improvements in eye contact and verbalization. When too many people come over to the house and he is not in the room, he has asked me to go in the playroom. I'll give you more details when you send the questions. It has helped our whole family tremendously. Bram
