Dear Jody,
I understand what you mean by that. Actually, try to think how confusing it can be, if i say, this is MY pen, give it to you, and ask you: Who's pen is this? You would say: it is yours, but a special child would probably say: this is my.(or mine) Thats what I said, so. My son also still is mostly non-verbal. When i say it i now say: This is mummy's pen. Or if it his i would say, this is Remon's pen. I think that it is first important, that they understand who we are, like mummy, remon, laura, etc. and that if they understand that, you could try the we, you, me, stuff.
