Well, honestly, I think the attitude of totally accepting him and giving him control over his environment kept him out of clothes longer. Looking back, we could have been more assertive about getting him into clothes but communication and interaction were my highest priorities at the time and I was going through a period of being afraid of losing what we had :). Given what we were getting in the way of bonding and his desire to be with people, it was a good trade-off in my mind especially since he did finally make the decision to keep clothes on :).
While I've been able to drop the fear of losing what we have and really go for what we want, and Curty has progressed to a point wehre we can be more assertive in setting "need tos," I still swear by that attitude in everything we do. I believe it
