Hi everybody!
My son Remon (6) is doing great after 9 months of sonrise. At this moment we only have 3 volunteers. They are so very wonderfull and i think better have 3 great people then 10 not so great. To go back to my son, he is improved so much on his social skills, it is almost hard to believe. He is noticing the smallest changes. Like last weekend we went to visit his grantparents, and HE was the first one who noticed they had a new lamp on the ceiling!! Walked towards it, stood under it, went to the lightswitch and turned it on and off!! It was so nice to observe this. This is the greatest thing i like to do. Just observe his little face and reactions. Yesterday, suddenly, he walked toward the couch, and looked outside. At that moment his father came home from work, (coincident? or was it his feeling??) He sees my husband coming out of his car, and Remon gives a happy cheer, jumps up, and runs to the frontdoor, opens it, and almost attacks his father!!! He asked me: Did you send him outside? I did not! All i did was observe his behavior. Tears popped in our eyes. So wonderfull. He now, also wants to play with his little sister (3). First only with his older sister (8) The youngest girl is the only one who gets a kiss of him. When she is going to bed she demands: Give me a kiss, Remon!. And so he does, with a smile on his face! Once he sat at the dinertable, waiting for his food, but this was not ready for at least 20 min. He looked around him, focused on some toys he played with earlier, jumps up, and starts putting them back in a basket!!!! And he had so much fun doing it, also because of my reaction i think, But this was always a problem, to put toys back where they belonged when he was finished playing!! His face expressions are so nice to watch. You can make so much out of them! Thinking.....satisfactory...angry,... whining,.......happy.....he makes the face that belongs to the feelings...!!!
So all this is great improvement dont you think. I now want more.. Now here is my issue: He says about 10 words, now and then. Rather not. And sometimes he just says nothing in 7 days or so. When he learned a new word, he used to use it for everything he wanted. That is over, but he had a word for drink and bread, and used them for that purpose. No he says WA for bread and drink, and for me singing a song. He perfectly seems to understand everything i say or ask. Like: please bring your plate to the kitchen. And he does it. The language is just not seems to go any further then this. I feel he can do it. But.... Am i asking to much of him? Sometimes it looks like there is just not more words in his head. I can jump high or low, sing, cheer, laugh, wathever, it wont come out!?
