Need for more of a "roadmap"

Hello everyone-

I'm happy to have just discovered this board. We've been doing a Son-Rise program for 3 years with our now 7-year-old son, Nicko. I really like the approach and the attitude, and I believe that we all have benefitted from the program quite a bit. But now we need a little help...

It seems that our program has stalled somewhat (exacerbated by a cross-country move this summer and some other craziness in life). I'm trying to make sure I stay focused on enjoying and having fun with my son. But I also really feel the need to have more clarity - structure, if you will - as to what we're doing and how to do it. As he gets older, it seems more complex.

He's verbal, but most of his speech is things going on in his head from the past, and is often very repetitive. It's a challenge to get him interested in or motivated by most external things. And he's become more like that in recent months.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the "listening ear,"

Jane
