Wow Kim - 400+ words??? That is AMAZING!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are so genuine and beautiful in your desire for more - GO FOR IT!!

Boy, this is a hard question with no video to work off of! What has worked in the past with Charlotte? How did she get to where she is now? How relentlessly are you going after what you want? How is she reacting? What different things have you tried? Does she respond well to music? Visual prompts? How have you succeeded in getting her to build onto previously learned things? What motivates her?

Our boy has always been pretty verbal - it's just that so much of it was what they call "inappropriate". I love that. Anyway, we have been very persistent and consistent in our asking for Ben to say more and more things, and then he did just start saying sentences. Then he started asking questions. Nowadays he is putting 2 or 3 sentences together. Yesterday he said "I hate these stickers. They're not working. Let's get the tape." He has started answering questions more consistently now. Today he even said "Thank you" when Dave got him something he wanted, without even being asked or reminded. Seems like once he figures language stuff like this out he just takes off with it, but getting him to figure it out is challenging sometimes. Happy detective all the way!!!! And we do a lot of modelling and requesting - going for the dream every minute. What do we have to lose?? "C'mon Ben, say "I want the Potato Head game on the shelf" - you can do it!!"

Good Luck - looking forward to more replies...

Love - Kelly.
