Fruit salad and no lock yet!

Robert today had one of those days that takes your breath away!!.......please allow me to indulge.

After making and trying lots of different fruits, making a fruit salad and then a friut smoothy in the blender....it was time for his volunteer to go....so he said spontaneously, thank-you so much for making a fruit salad with me, will you come and play another day? Iwas so please it happened to this particular volunteer as Robert used to button push him by screaming the whole time he was doing a session and it was only until I dialogued him to uncover why he felt so uncomfortable about this ( I say dialogue in the looses sense of the word......I am a REAL novice) the last few sessions have been like two great old mates playing together in a very secret and special way.....and the volunteer is only 17!!

I've been reading the lock debate like everyone else with great interest. We have been running a program without a room for 2years. We have got one now but don't have a lock........I've been buidilng up my time in there very slowly and giving Robert a choice about whether or not to stay in. Today we did 3 hrs. He opened and shut the door himself. Would Robert be futher along if we'd have got aroom from the start.....don;t know......this is what felt right for us. The one thing that Options staff have never said is you have to have a room.......the reccomend it........but the attitude is the most important thing. We are living proof that it can work......Our reasons for trying a room now is to see if there's any difference in or out...watch this space
