Sunshine Program? I have a question

Hello Friends,
I was wondering if I could get some advice on an event that occured while I was babysitting--- what the sunshine autism method would be and if I handled it correctly.
The little boy has autism and is nonverbal and he is 4 years old. He got a bloody nose, which I did not notice at first because he didn't make much of it. He was playing the computer and I saw a bright red streak on his hand, which I originally thought was marker, but turned out it was blood. His nose began bleeding a lot and he proceeded to smear it all over his face, hands and my jeans. I brought him to the bathroom to try and clean him off, but he screamed in protest whenever I attempted to touch his face. He then became alarmed by the blood and started to cry uncontrollably. All the while I tried to hug him without making it messy and tell him it was alright. Eventually, I carried him up to the bath tub, where he stood in the tub.. He let me clean off his hands and face by saying "Ready, set, go!" and then quickly wiping him with a wet papertowel. He seemed to calm down and then climbed out of the tub and sat on my lap sniffling. Then I lay him on the floor and told him "I need to pinch your nose to make it stop bleeding" and said "Ready, set, go!" and quickly pinched his nose with the tissue. It turned out it had stopped bleeding. He was his usual happy self within minutes and decided that as long as he had his clothes off, he would run around the house in just his undershirt and diaper.. what a cutie:) I was just wondering what others would do in this situation because I didn't want to physically manipulate him in anyway, but he would not let me touch him at all. Even though I was able to use the bathtub to calm him, I still had to hold his arms down at times so he would not continue to rub his nose. Any suggestions??
Thank you so much,
Kendra
