best homeschool program???

hi everyone, i'm trying to broaden my son's comprehension (he's 8 1/2 ). he's attending school with an aide, but needs more help. i'd like to help him at home preferably with his computer. do any of you know of a good home school program that uses the computer ???? thank you very much in advance.
