We were able to put the vinyl flooring on top of the carpet, but I just thought I'd let you know the kinds of abuse our floor took so you'd taken them into consideration for your flooring choice. I'm not familiar with the material you're talking about, but it sounds like you have a pretty good idea going anyway! Is it anchored down very good, or might you get into isming that involves lifting up the flooring?
Ben went through a time where he liked to poke things into the floor. Once it was a screwdriver because we were "fixing" something, and the other times it was pencils. We have tears all over the flooring, and I've patched it up several times over the last 3+ years. Falling objects from the shelf also put in a few tears.
Non-absorbent sounds good, so there won't be a problem if something spills? And no stink afterwards? We kept a towel in our room so that if there was ever a mess, it was wiped up and over with instantly.
We also required that everyone take off their shoes before entering the playroom.
Good Luck with getting everything in place!
Love from Kelly.
