: Yvette, We are potty training our four year old daughter right now. A few months ago she decided she didn't want to wear diapers anymore and she started doing her thing on the floor or sometimes the bed in her playroom. We realized that part of the fun for her was playing in the pee on the floor, so we came up with this idea to encourage her to use the potty. When she urinated on the floor we wiped it up as quickly and calmly as possible so that she couldn't play in it, and we told her that if she did it in the potty we would dump water on the floor. So she started using the potty and we have been dumping water on the floor ever since, and she plays in the water. This little trick has worked wonders. The bowel movements have been a little more complicated because she often tries to wait until after bedtime when we have left the room. We promised shaving cream if she made the poop in the potty, and she REALLY loved it, but she started getting a rash. Good luck!Hi everyone!
: My son Remon now is almost 6 years of age. The sonrise program is going really great. I was thinking of starting some potty training now. He still uses diapers day and night. He can speak very little at this moment. He can say however when he did it in his diaper. (the heavy stuff) When i ask him, did you...? then the word ( dont know what that is in english) He comes over, gives me a few letters, takes my hand and brings it to his but. Of course i cheer! I sit him down on the toilet every morning and evenings, he does not have a problem with that. He actually seems to like sitting there. If he sits on it for 15 or 20 minutes he does not let it go. When i take him of and say lets get you dressed. He walks over to his room, and of course let it go over there! Even then i cheer and say: well that is what you also can do on the toilet!! He smiles but never the less.......??????? How can i make it clear to him, that it would be a lot comfortable to do it on the toilet? Because he IS starting to dislike his diaper when it is wet, b
