Curty still has difficulty with volume control. Sometimes he speaks very quietly and other times way too noisly. I think his is often due to auditory challenges. It's like a friend of mine who became deaf as a teenager. She has problems knowing when she's talking too quietly or too loudly. I got very good at reading lips being around her because so often she thinks she's talking when she's only mouthing. Other times, she's yelling, sometimes in situations where it's inappropriate.
For my son, it helps to gently tell him it's too loud or too soft but when he gets excited or is doing some hard schoolwork, he forgets. Gaylen
