My son had a red and sometimes bleeding area around his anus.
I was baffled until our pedi told us that it may be caused
by yeast overgrowth. We did infact do the 92 panel allergy
test which was dead to rights yeast allergy. I have cut back
big time on yeast (no easy task I assure you) and it changed
literially overnight. Now with the cut down in yeast we don't
have that. I have spoke with other parents who
mention the same sorta symptoms as you described and not only
did their child have a yeast issue but also a lactaid issue, so
they cut out all milk products as well and it seemed to do the
trick. The blinking you mentioned cause very well be associated
to a physical allergic reaction as well. I would HIGHLY recommend
the allergy panel. We had ours done via a blood test and it was
about $200 through Great plains Lab.. worth every dime to know what
he should and shouldn't be consuming.

Good luck!

: After a year of treating Paul for yeast, I think it may not be yeast. His tongue gets itchy, but that is not a sign of yeast. Thrush is painful, but usually doesn't itch. I notice he rubs and blinks his eyes more when he has these episodes...whatever they are. His other symptoms are: feeling run down, loss of appetite, and of course he becomes more exclusive. That's it. I'm thinking of taking him to an allergist. We took him off all vitamins, probiotics and any antifungals. Of course he got better, but I think he was on the upswing anyway. Any thoughts? Love, Lisa
