I am a 1st year Early intervention teacher who is just certified in Early Childhood. I am starting on my Master's in Early Intervention. I have recently got a new boy in my class who is four years old. He may be autistic. We do not know yet. I do not know if he is autistic or has just been babied too much at home. He came to school with a diaper bag. He is wearing pullups and is not potty trained. I really need to potty train him and he seems to have a fear of the potty. He does not want to get on the potty. What I am asking is how can I tell if he is autistic and how do I potty train an autistic child at 4 years old?
