I have read quite a lot about Asperger’s syndrome. My nephew has AS, and I myself have many AS features.
I also have a good friend who I believe has AS, or at least many traits of it. He has told me a great deal about his childhood and about the way he is today, and so much seems to fit with AS. He has also said that he wants to find out why he’s different from others.

Here’s my question: Should I give him some of the good articles I have about AS? Should I tell him that I recognize myself from the articles and that maybe he will recognize himself too?
Or will my friend feel hurt and upset when he finds out that I think he has Asperger’s syndrome?

This is a real dilemma for me. I would appreciate any opinions and advice. Thanks!

Paulina
