: Kath
: I began the gfcf diet with Francesca last year, and as Randa says, it does make a huge difference.
: I began by taking the casein out of Francesca's diet, and once that was established , I began reducing the amount of gluten....I'm still in the process of trying to get all the gluten out ....it's hidden in so many products
: I found the book "Special diets for Special Kids" by Lisa Lewis to be invaluable....lots of recipes and resources

: Good Luck

kath...
my daughter has been on the diet for about 8 months now. this is what she eats and in no particular order (eg. she can eat chicken for breakfast...no rules): omlette made with coconut butter, rice (just recently started eating it), gf spaghetti, gfcf pancakes (also soy free...sensitive to soy), chicken, fish, beef, lamb, snacks can be banana, carrots, lettuce, rice cakes. more meals would include meatloaf (ground beef, grated zucchini, onions, garlic, tomatoes, whatever other veg. i feel like putting in there...she won't eat plain veggies so this is a good way to sneek them in), chicken nuggets made with gfcf soy free flour. i think that's pretty much it. someone mentioned goat's milk, it is not cf, incase you didn't know. i've also almost completly illiminated sugar. i found that when i got gf cereal for maggie, that that's all she would eat the whole day till the box was finished and that has sugar in it and i just thought we could do with these kinds of snacks all together. anyways, i hope this helps. these are also things that the whole family eats and i don't have to cook seperate meals, which i think randa mentioned earlier. i NEVER EVER thought maggie would eat any of this sutff!! but when she's hungry enough and you believe in ti enough, it will happen, maybe with some resistance at first.
good luck, ola
