Our son did a LOT of this before we put him on the GFCF (Gluten Free Casein Free) diet. And yes, it did seem spooky when he did it from 2 am til 4 am. When he was a baby and we did not know about autism, I used to see it as like his guardian angel was telling him jokes! (I still want to believe that). He used to laugh so hard he would get the hiccups that wo7uld not go away until we could calm him down.

That is mostly gone now that we watch what he eats. Once in a while he gets ahold of our older sons bread crusts and it shows up again. I would certainly believe that diet is a major part of your situation also. Just remember that it is no harm to the child and think about the angel theory..... it makes it easier to get through!
