Hi DeeAnn!

I am hoping you'll call someone (at Option or somewhere within our support group) and dialog about this so you can get to a more comfortable place. I can feel your agony and fear reading what you wrote here. We have ALL been there at some point, so don't be ashamed or feel helpless!! You are fully capable of getting comfortable with this and coming up with wonderful ways of dealing with it. Just look at it as an opportunity to grow and then BLOSSOM, like you certainly have so many times before. :-)

My personal thoughts: this is when the value of the room is magnified - a place where your child can do nothing to hurt himself, and where you never have to say no. Join, join, join, and at a point where he becomes truly available, start talking about that time where he sprayed the lysol, or when he stuck the pencil down his throat. Maybe use props and dolls, exaggerating the silliness of it, and mentioning how you got scared.

Here's big hugs to you {{{ DeeAnn }}} !!!

Loving you - Kelly.
