Yevette,
I removed the dry erase markers and introduced play dough yesterday but he was mostly into eating it. He does well with these things if he is controlled, i.e., asked to roll orsqueeze the playdough but if you just let him lead they we would be ingesting a good amount of it...I do magnetic letters too. I have a Sesseme St. magnetic board. He enjoys taking the letters out of the plastic bag and matching them to the right letters. I like it because he has the desire to do this independantly. He gets most of it right which generates a 'real' positive reaction out of me and that makes him happy. I have always that if we teach nothing else we must teach desire...
