Dear People.
I would love Thoughts/experiences/ideas on 2 themes really.
Firstly....When we have been playing or even just starting and suddenly the main focus of activity becomes tipping on the floor [eg marbles] sweeping everything onto the floor off a table[A marble tower/bricks/cornflakes that have spilt/farm animals/books/ to be picked up later by one of us....the more tired I am and the less energy I have for picking up/wiping up/sweeping up the more this winds me up],throwing[EG a toy attempting to ricochet it off light/wall/wherever as it makes a great sound when it lands].I know it will be easier when we have a playroom.....I have difficulty feeling comfortable or natural with joining these activities.
Secondly......When our little 6 year old Joseph's developing control over his temper is overpowered by too great an upset he still throws/sweeps off surfaces and turns over chairs. We have been round the house trouble shooting and removed many of the most tempting surface objects or potential missiles and he knows in his room he can throw/empty anything in there til it blows over but I would love to find something[eg balls which make noise when you throw them but do not injure bystanders? as a substitute] Does anyone have experience or ideas of anything alluring /satisfying enough to make an acceptable alternative to our household items/furniture but which will leave no lasting damage to property/people.I feel sure plenty of people have been through similar.Anything we use may well be copied by younger siblings aged 2 and 4.If it is alluring/satisfying enough I thing I could get into joining in Too. Looking foreward to any ideas with interest. Jeanie
