Well, Wendy's feedback was perhaps more meaningful to me than it was for Wendy - she was a little upset. We'll see if I at least planted a seed when she returns for her next session tomorrow...
I had a terrific session with Ben yesterday. We ism'd away simulating the Toy Story "luggage game" that he learned on the computer. We'd end it by dropping our Buzzes to the blue blanket and yelling "SALT!!" - it was great. I was able to get him to write "SALT" on the whiteboard with me. Then we'd yell "PEPPER!" if the Buzz fell off the blue blanket. So he wrote "PEPPER" on the whiteboard, too, and we got silly and wrote "PEBBER" when he made too many bellies for the "P"...
Ben is doing fantastic at school. I agree with Doug that having the playroom in addition to a school program gives these children a wonderful place to be themselves and have some control and regroup - did I mention that I think ism'ing is BOSS??
