I would suggest reading Karyn Seroussi's book on Unraveling the Mysteries of Autism and PDD. It is all about the GFCF (Gluten Free Casein Free) diet & her son's emergence. There were a few autistic children that were constipated but I am not sure what their solutions were (I don't have a copy, I borrowed it).
She also has a web site Autism Network for Dietary Intervention - I believe it is but not 100% sure.
