John,
This is fantastic news, I'm sure all fellow Son Rise Mum & Dad's send hugs and smiles to you for taking this step - it will be an adventure for both you and Adam!
With regards to your playroom, I personaly wouldn't have a computer in the room, as I would want him to connect and interact with people first. It's not real important to have a lot of things in your room, just a selection with which you can be creative with ie musical instruments, or things you know Adam is motivated by.
If you can video yourself with Adam in the playroom with your 3 E's (excitement,enthusiasm and energy) in full flow and show it to volunteer's, they'll be able to see how much fun it is to be with Adam in this way & how much impact it'll have on the way he relates to them. Whenever we've used flyers to get volunteer's we've always stressed how unique this programme is, how much fun it is and how great it is to be so excited about change. And lets face it if we British can do it, you guys should have no problems!!!!!! Go for it John, we're all here for you and Adam! Love & sunshine. Kim x
