Hi
This is very interesting because Charlie my son aged 3, is very similar. He has poor eye contact, poor speech, but he too, doesn't have the repetitive behaviour or obsessions. He is also not affected by the change in routine. He has received no formal diagnosis yet, and he lost his hearing at 11 months old, and returned when he was 2 yrs old I originally thought the problems stemmed from that. It was only medics who mentioned autism, and I have accepted their suggestions.
I am eager to try anything that will improve Charlie's quality of life, and if son-rise will achieve that, I'll start fundraising to get there.
regards
Kath

: Is there anyone out there that has a child with developmental delays with some characterisitics of autism, but not the classic ones, and has done the program? I have a 13-year-old daughter with global developmental delay/severe speech and language disabilities. They said it is not autism as she never did rocking, spinning etc., but she is extremely organised and routine-oriented, likes things straight and in a line etc. I live in Australia and would dearly like to hear from anyone who has had success with this sort of challenge.

: Kind regards,
: Gerardine
