Bram,

Thanks for tellng us about your experience at the Start Up. The Start Up is going to be in Northern California at the end of October, and both my wife and I plan to volunteer. We have both been to the Start Up, and look forward to being there again.

I also think that the Start Up will have lots of new information for us. The reason is that I had a chance to volunteer with Brooke Ashley at the Institute to help out with Raun Kaufman's recent Northern California media tour. One of the events Raun did was to come speak to an audience of parents and professionals at our local Community College. Raun was an incredible speaker, and he packed his two hour speech so full of information that the presentation went at least an hour over with the question and answer period. I learned lots of new information through Raun's examples that I have been able to put into use for myself, in feedbacks and at our group meetings. One of the college professors wants Raun to come back and speak for a fee!

I am really excited about the additional local families that will be learining about the Son Rise method at the Start Up. In addtion to all of the benefits to the child and family, our community will benefit from increased awareness by school and other people who sit in the position to make recommendations and make funding available for families to have Son Rise Programs. We have five families in our county doing the program now, and it will only help to have more.

Doug
