: I would like to know if any of you has any experience with a child with Rett-syndrome, who is : in a Son-Rise program. The child in the program I'm volunteering in, -could possibly- : have Rett-syndrome. I personally don't think so, because of the progress she has made in the : last couple of months (she is three years old) I haven't heared of any child with Rett-syndrome : participating in a Son-Rise program yet, but I'm sure that a child could only benefit from that : 'cause I know that stimilation is very important for these children (as for any child) : Does anyone of you has any experience with this? What kind of symptoms does the child have? : How did you find out it was Rett-syndrome?
: Good luck in your good work,

Dear Silvia,
I know of a mother who had 2 daughters with Rhetts syndrome in California and who did a Son-Rise Program. I am familiar with the symptoms. If you would like to e-mail me please do - Also Gaylen mentioned a mother in Ghana. She still lives there and her daughter is doing great. Lynn's daughter has not been firmly diagnosed with Rhett's or with autism, its confusing. They are doing great however and are very happy. She doesn't have e-mail, but I do have her address in Ghana if you are interested in corresponding. write me. Love Pauline
