hi Cora,
What an exciting opportunity! I think it's great that you are researching for your new post and i highly recommend that you enrol for the next 'start-up' programme at the Option Institute. You can find out more about it on this site. It would give you such amazing tools for working with autistic children aswell as giving you the opportunity to develop for yourself a wonderful life-enhancing attitude. The method taught here can be used by professionals at their places of work as well as by parents in a home-based programme - indeed when i did the start-up in 96 there were 3 professionals there 2 of whom were speech pathologists - and i know of others which have attended too. I wish luck and happiness with your new job! Shara.

: I just got a job working as a counselor for pre-school and early elementary school aged autistic children. Though I have found numerous resources online in regards to the autistic disability, I am looking for advice from other people who have experience working with autistic children. Any input would be greatly appriciated, I'd like to broaden my horizons and learn as much as I can about Autism. Please e-mail me at: Java_size=7 width=75%>
