The programme was also screened in Scotland, so I imagine it went out across the whole UK. Like you, I found it hard to bear at times. His parents seemed content with his progress, it was left to the programme producer to express concern about the impact on Alexander. I was impressed by how sensitively he managed that. I noted that Channel 4 are running an information phone line till mid June. It might be worth ringing them to check that they have a comprhensive list of options for parents, including Sonrise.
I think it is unlikely that Channel 4 would be able to screen a BBC production.
