We haven't been doing mood setters, but at our next meeting, I plan on doing a visualization/meditation about what kind of energy level our volunteers want to have at the meeting. When we go over woorksheets and create resolutions, everyone (but me of course) is on the quiet and tired side. When we do exercices everyone is excited and full of energy. I plan on putting on some soft music and have everyone close their eyes. You could do a guided meditation/visualization about anything. I think it would be very powerful to have them really think about how they are feeling as they are thinking about a particular thing. Let me know if you try it. Love, Lisa
: This is a question for all who are involved in a Son Rise Program, parent, volunteer or professional. What have been your favorite "Mood Setters" for your meetings? What I mean by "Mood Setters" is the excercises you do at the beginning of your meetings to set the mood for the meeting and help everyone focus on the intentions of the meeting. I love hearing and reading about what everyone does and I love coming up with new ones when it is my turn.
