John and Martine, I understand your toy issue. However, go back to your own attitude about the toys and I think you will find if you really decide that YOU can have fun with the toys that are in the room, than the "staleness" will go away. Keep finding new ways to play with them. Ask each of your volunteers to help you be more creative. My son loves Peter Pan, so my wife went out and bought a pirate ship. Some great imaginative play has come out of that. Also, my son lines up many different toys at times. Recently one volunteer decided to "line" them up in differnt shapes and they learned and reviewed shapes. Thewre are endless ways to use each toy. Tap into YOUR creative mind and your entire playroom will transform before your eyes. I bet it wouln't bother your daughter either!
As far as drinks go. We give Brenen either purified water or purified water with a little lemon juice in it. He calls it lemonaide. I don't know what your child's stool is like, but if it is the least bit runny, I would avoid all juices. The sugar, even though natural, is just as bad as having a can of pop. If their are yeast causing any problems, even juice will add to those problems. My son's stool improved a lot when we took him off of all sugar sources.
Lastly, his Mega dose of B vitamins (super Nu thera) was in his drink also. A great way to get him to drink that was to put 1/4 teaspoon of ascorbic acid (powdered vit C NOT buffered) into his water with the vitamins. The color made it look like OJ and the taste was almost orange juice like. Good luck!
