If you give him/her shaving cream to play around in then the child never learns the approiate use for it. I let my son watch me shave then I put some shaving cream on his face, turn the razer around (no blade) and pretend to shave his face. By doing this I am preparing him for the eventual day that he will have to shave. I don't want him eating shaving cream when he matures...
