We set our playroom up gradually because of financial reasons. We started setting up the playroom when Jeff came back from the Start-Up program in February 1998. At this point we were not fundraising yet for our program. So our first paycheck after this, we bought the paint. It was at this point that we went started using the playroom, but it was hard on the knees (carpeting!) Next paycheck, we bought the flooring and carpet padding. Next paycheck, we had someone install it, and bought a minitrampoline and a therapy ball. This brought us into July. Next paycheck we bought shelving and a few toys, etc. It wasn't until August that we got our first volunteer (and she is still with us -- she just celebrated a 1-year anniversary with us) We love her a lot!
