: How can we help set limits for our son, Spencer---help set limit and help with the angry outbursts---also, he insists on sleeping with one of us and pulling our hair the entire night

did you read the q/a for february with jonathon levy? he talks about the anger outbursts and such. the child does these things for different reasons. to get out energy the only way they know how. to get what they want. our daughter will hit herself in the head or hit her elbow against the wall when she is trying to get a reaction from us. we never give her a reaction when this happens and she always quits, doesnt get hurt and decides that her reaction is not getting her what she wants. option has always told us that and it always stands true. on the other question on setting limits, lisa is right, we need more information. hope this somewhat helps. go back to the feb q/a on this message board and read what jonathon answered - that will help. have a great day!

love, jamie
