: I checked with our nutritionist and she okay'd me putting information about her on this Bulletin Board. Her name is Arlene Tolen - her office is in Scottsdale, Arizona. We have been with her for 2+ years and have seen WONDERFUL results. I have been to her several times just for counseling sessions to talk about everything from meal planning to copper toxicity to essential oils - she is a real fountain of knowledge and has been doing this work for l5+ years.
: She charges $225 for an initial consultation, which includes the hair sample and analysis and the initial consultation which includes going over your history, your present situation, dietary guidelines, explaining and answering questions about the process, developing a follow-up plan, developing an individual supplement program, etc. After that, her rate is $75/hour, and hair samples run $45. She has worked with several people I have referred her to on a reduced-fee basis, so please approach her about financing if that's an issue. She loves working with children like ours most of all, because the changes are the most dramatic.
: Arlene's philosophy is the idea that the human body is an incredible machine and filter when working as it should. She encourages "building", fueling the body with good food and supplementing the diet with vitamins and minerals based on the hair analysis results. We don't see drastic, overnight results with anything we've done with her (although others have), but we have seen incredible long-term results which she predicted at the beginning.
