Wanted to get people's take on using Miralax for two days to help clean out the pipes. We had an x-ray done of our 3 year old son with our physician and she says that our little guy has some old poop up there (makes sense - his belly does always look a little distended). She says that we are beyond Senecot and that we should use Miralax to flush things out so we don't develop other problems.

We don't like the idea of Miralax, but will not do an enema.

Also, anyone have luck keeping things moving on an ongoing basis that conforms to an SCD diet?

I haven't heard of Miralax but I have heard that the procedure to clean out "old poop" does improve the child. My son has been on SCD for some time and has shown some improvement, however constipation has never been an issue for him - more the opposite. I would suspect that a SCD diet would help a child that is constipated because of the ease of digestion when the offending foods are removed.
