Our little boy has had an intense fear or birthdays and singing and all the fuss and bother to the extent that we just stopped doing birthdays for all of us. His younger brother has never had a 'birthday' celebration. HOWEVER!!! The little brother just had his third birthday and we had the real thing with hats, cake , singing, presents, streamers etc.... and we had NO FUSS, NO TEARS, just real enjoyment. The most amazing thing was our special child kept saying to his little brother 'happy birthday, birthday boy' and giving him a hug or a high five!!!
I can't believe how far he's come!!! He had such a hang up over the birthday song and anything that was a show. Let alone people wearing crazy hats!!!!!
Thankyou Son-rise for teaching us how to reach through to these special little people and being able to have these special moments in time!!!
