Hi

We have been doing the Son-rise program for 3 years now and our son is doing so well and is very happy and calm. He struggles with his speech whilst his receptive language has increased incredibly. He wants to communicate with us and points and uses his limited speech but he may suffer from verbal dyspraxia....we are introducing sign language as a communicative tool to support his verbal communication but also to increase his overall communication...has anyone or is anyone doing this within son-rise...any advice would be gratefully received and much appreciated...

We tried the sign languaje and for us was an absolute succes, my daughter started signing a lot in matter of two weeks and started talking in about 6 months. She still have troubles understanding and producing languaje, but communicates wants, needs, greets and learned basic concepts of communication.

We used the Rachel Colemann "signing time" dvds those are very nice and calming videos that not only teach sign languaje, but abc's, numbers, colors, etc.
