Certified Son-Rise Program® Professionals

Only those individuals listed below are currently Certified and in good standing. We strongly recommend that you only work with those individuals listed below.

The following document was created to help families using The Son-Rise Program to understand our certification process. It should ensure that the individuals whom you enlist to support your family are qualified and capable of providing the services you require. In the past, we have seen individuals misrepresent themselves as qualified to provide services that they were never trained by our organization to provide, or by presenting themselves as “Certified” by the Autism Treatment Center of America when they were not.

We are providing you with an overview of our Certification process as well as a description of our Re-Certification Process. Below, you will find a brief description of the services each person is trained to provide so that you will be informed about those who are claiming to provide services that they are not qualified to provide, and can ensure that you are working with the most qualified and capable individuals.

You will find a list of currently certified individuals below. Any person who is not listed below has either not met the criteria for Re-Certification and declined further training to meet those standards, or has chosen not to have their work peer reviewed for Re-Certification.

Professional Training Programs

At the Autism Treatment Center of America, we offer two certification programs:
Son-Rise Program Child Facilitator Certification and Son-Rise Program Teacher Certification.

The Son-Rise Program Child Facilitator Training Program involves three years of in-depth, hands-on professional training.

  1. Training includes 18 months of training and practicum experience with over 50 different children with a variety of diagnoses.
  2. Throughout the training process students receive in-depth training on the educational techniques and attitudinal principles involved in effectively providing 1:1 Son-Rise Program facilitation with children, adolescents and adults provided by experienced teachers.
  3. Students must then complete an additional 18-month internship at the Autism Treatment Center of America to gain experience and solidify their skills while working alongside a team of senior staff.

The Son-Rise Program Teacher Training Program is only available to those who have successfully earned certification as Son-Rise Program Child Facilitators. Four years of additional training is provided which includes:

  1. Two years of training and practicum experience working directly with parents and family members.

If an individual does not initially meet the standards for recertification, we offer clear feedback on the necessary points of change and the opportunity to submit further samples of their work.

We take our certification process very seriously.
You can fully trust that those who hold current certificates have the full confidence of our organization.
We strongly recommend that you only work with those individuals who are listed above.
