Denise’s son had autism and was hyperactive. He would be up all night and Denise’s anger grew until she became suicidal. That’s when she learned about The Son-Rise Program taught at The Option Institute, co-founded by Barry Neil Kaufman and Samahria Lyte Kaufman. She attended autism treatment programs as well as self-help workshops and learned tools that later helped her deal with a severe and rare form of cancer. She and her husband continue to grow and deepen their relationship by coming to The Option Institute.
