Sheffield, Mass. – November 26 – Raun K. Kaufman, CEO of the Autism Treatment Center of America™, has been named to the Advisory Board of the U.S. Autism & Asperger Association, Inc. (USAAA) Advisory Board.
The USAAA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life of individuals and their families/caregivers touched by autism spectrum disorders. The USAAA’s annual international conference hosts authorities who conduct often-groundbreaking presentations in the areas of biomedical interventions; research; adjunct therapies; diet and nutrition; and family issues.
The Autism Treatment Center of America www.autismtreatment.org is home of The Son-Rise Program® for autism treatment and education. The Son-Rise Program is the only program that:
As a child, Mr. Kaufman was diagnosed with severe autism and recommended for lifelong institutionalization. Instead, his parents developed The Son-Rise Program, which enabled their son’s complete recovery. Now an international speaker and Ivy League graduate, Mr. Kaufman bears no traces of his former condition.
L.P. Kaplan, PhD, Executive Director of the USAAA, said, “Raun’s personal experience and his many years working with families worldwide offer a unique perspective. We welcome Raun to our Advisory Board and look forward to his contributions.”
Mr. Kaufman said, “I’m honored to join the USAAA Advisory Board and walk hand in hand with an organization that is willing to bring parents and professionals all points of view so that families can have access to outside-the-box interventions like The Son-Rise Program. One of the biggest mistakes made in the autism world is a lack of options for parents and their children because families are only told about one or two types of interventions. We believe that parents should be allowed to make their own decisions and that every child should be given a chance to fully recover like I did.”
The Autism Treatment Center of America is the worldwide teaching center for The Son-Rise Program, a powerful, effective and totally unique treatment for children and adults challenged by autism, autism spectrum disorders, Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), Asperger's Syndrome, and other developmental difficulties.
