BIOGRAPHY
"I have been deeply passionate about helping children for as long as I can remember. I began practicing when I was very young – playing "school" at age 8 with my 3-year-old sister – thoroughly enjoying the role of being a teacher. After college, I began training to become a public school teacher, until I met two students with Autism – and was instantly captivated by their joyful spirits, their determination to learn and grow, and their desire to connect socially even when it seemed incredibly challenging for them. I worked at the Autism Treatment Center of America™ from 2001 to 2010, and enjoyed every moment of my work with these special children and their families. I sing my way to work every morning, not because of a secret desire to become a rock star, but simply because supporting Son-Rise Program families is the best job I can possibly imagine – and the joy I feel from my work is constantly overflowing."

"Oh Carolina! Her energy blows me away and her smile is a light shining so bright! She has given me so many ideas on how to interact with my daughter and to encourage her to not only use the language she has, but how to develop so much more. I will see her face everyday when I am in the playroom and feel her energy."
