PERSONAL STATEMENT

"I learned about The Son-Rise Program during my studies to be a special needs teacher in 2001 when I joined a lovely family to help their special child. Among others I worked with the little boy for two years as a volunteer using The Son-Rise Program. During this time I visited the Autism Treatment Center of America in Sheffield Massachusetts, where I spent 11 weeks as a volunteer. After having graduated as a special needs teacher at university, I worked with Son-Rise Program families for another two years to get more experience. I started my professional Child Facilitator training at the Autism Treatment Center of America™ in August 2006. The 1.5 years provided me with the wonderful opportunity to learn to love and accept someone without any judgments or expectations. It was an incredible experience and a special chance to grow. I finished my training in February 2008, and have been working with amazing Son-Rise Program families since then. "
